Coastal Retreat

I'm still reminiscing about my crafty coastal retreat last week in Southwold, Suffolk. It's just a short distance of seventy miles from me as I live in Norfolk, which I'm also grateful to say that I live quite near the coast too! We didn't actually do as much crafting as we had planned, because we had some good weather some days so we went exploring around the area. The view from our AirBnB was amazing as we looked out onto the beach and sea, and I could see the Pier from my bedroom. From now on, my friends and I are going to visit it regularly for a crafty getaway.

With this in mind, my FB Live this week was focused on the stamp set called 'Sailing Home' from Stampin' Up! Sadly, I didn't have very much of the lovely Designer Series Paper that matches with the stamp set, as I had previously made a lovely little album with it, which will now be my Southwold Memory Album. This gave me an idea though to make my own backing paper using just the stamp set and inks. I haven't done this in ages but it's a great way to utilise a stamp set. You can even make your own wrapping paper etc by using this method.

Once you've created the back ground card stock it can be used to create several quick and easy cards with it, just using the stamp set, card stock and inks. I will be showing you how to do this next week on my FB Live. On this week's one though I showed you how to create the back ground and I also made a coastal themed card too.

On next week's FaceBook Live you can watch me demonstrate how I'm going to section and cut up the A4 decorated sheet.

Here's this week's FB Live:

I will leave you with a few images of the gorgeous view that we experienced last week. I'm sure you can appreciate why we can't wait to go back there!
