A Special Milestone

Here we are again....another Sunday and another eventful week. I'm sure you all know how difficult this week has been for so many people. Life changes for so many people and ones that we hope will be over with as soon as possible. At the moment though, we all have to abide by government guidelines in a bid to tackle the Covid-19. I'm so grateful that I have crafting as a positive distraction for me. It certainly takes my mind away from all the negativity that is spreading around the world sadly.

Let's move on to one of the cards that I have designed and created this week. I have to be honest that I wasn't entirely happy with the finished card but I had to get it in the post. It was for a special lady who will be celebrating her 100th Birthday at the end of March. Obviously any big celebrations will be on hold at the present, so I really hope that she gets lots of cards and flowers. I don't actually know the lady in question but one of my fellow demonstrators in our team asked us if we could make and send a card to Joyce. How could we not oblige.

I decided to use the brand new suite from Stampin' Up! called Ornate Garden Suite. It really is amazing how many different types of cards that you could create with this suite. It includes two stamp sets and two die sets plus Designer Series Paper, Ribbon, embellishments and an embossing folder. The suite will be available to purchase for customers on April 1st 2020, and it will be in the main catalogue when it's released in June. The floral image is one of the stamps in the set called 'Ornate Style' and I stamped it in Soft Suede and coloured it in using Stampin' Blends.

If you are really quick and want to join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator, you could make the most of the fabulous joining offer that finishes on March 31st 2020, and pop this whole suite( or part of it) in your starter kit. How fabulous is that? You will get all the other amazing free goodies on offer too! Plus all of the other superb benefits that you receive as a demonstrator. If you're interested, you will have to be quick, any questions just contact me.

The numbers for the card were created with a retired die set as were the sentiment stamps.

When I have die sets that contain lots of different dies, I always find it helpful to die cut them all out to begin with and have them on display. This helps me no end when I'm creating cards using it and it's a great visual to use in classes so that my ladies can see what the dies look like when cut out. So here are my displays. The Poppy Parade( RED) shapes are NOT part of the sets but they are to show you how well our rectangle dies fit inside them. Of course, you wouldn't expect anything less from Stampin' Up! because they excel at fabulous coordination!

I hope you enjoyed a glimpse of the new suite. I will be showing you lots more over the coming weeks. I hope you fall in love with it as much as I am already. The sky's the limit with it's potential!
