It's a Wrap.....

Who's ready for Christmas? I can say at last that I finally feel that I am ahead of myself. All presents are bought, and some have been wrapped today. I have made the last batch of Christmas cards as of yesterday, apart from a few special ones for the parents and friends. In total so far, not including my class samples I have made forty cards and sent or given them out. The last batch of twenty will be written and addressed tomorrow before I go on my wreath making workshop at the library.

Today, I have been making some special bows to decorate my presents with alongside the deluxe gift tags that I made some weeks ago using the 'Tags, Tags, Tags' stamp set from Stampin' Up!
For the bows I have been using the Speciality Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! called 'Wrapped in Plaid' for the small bows and 'Brightly Gleaming' for the larger bows.

Small Bow with 'Wrapped in Plaid'

Large Bow with 'Brightly Gleaming'

Measurements for the Small Bows:

Using the 6" x 6" DSP cut the paper into ½" strips. You need just over one whole sheet, so I suggest that you can get two bows from three sheets and use the leftovers to make some tags similar to the ones that I made. You can also mix and match your papers, you don't have to use just one design for each bow, be as creative as you like!

You need 1 of 2" by ½ for the centre.

                6 of  2 ¾" x ½"

                6 of  3 ¼" x ½"

                6 of  4" x ½".

Measurements for the Larger Bows:

Using 12" x 12" DSP, cut the paper into ¾" strips.

You need 4 of  11" x ¾"

                2 of 10" x ¾"

                2 of  9" x ¾"

                1 of 3" x ¾" .
This was for the centre, and I have to admit that I changed the measurements and just had a play with several methods until I was satisfied with the results.

When all of the shapes are glued together, you punch a hole in the middle of them. This is so that they can all be attached by a brad through the centre. This means that the bow can be manipulated into place without the need of it being glued. You can glue it if it is required.

The directions will be on my Facebook Live on Tuesday evening at 7pm ( December 17th, 2019), I hope that you can join me.

The gifts are safely under the tree now under the watchful eye of Pickle Pants. He knows what that naughty elf  Pickle is like, he loves to unwrap the presents before Christmas Day! Speaking of Pickle, has anyone seen him recently? We haven't seen him or heard from him in days.....I wonder what he's up to? Please keep an eye out for him, see you all soon.

                                                               Happy Crafting,
                                                                 Love Sarah. xx
