Van Gogh?....not quite.

Another week has passed and another Tuesday evening FB Live.
Lots has happened in the world of Stampin' Up! since last week. The retiring list was announced and there are some amazing bargains to be had if they haven't been snatched up already!
Also, as one of the privileges of being a demonstrator, we all got to see the new catalogue online, it goes live for customers on June 3rd. You will not be disappointed when you see it. There really is some amazing products coming up!!

As with anything, we have to sometimes say goodbye. That is what I am saying this week on my FB Live. The beautiful 'Painted Harvest' stamp set from Stampin' Up! is retiring so I'm playing with it before it goes as I just adore sunflowers. The stamp set already has a water colour vibe to it which I love, but I wanted to see if I could take it a step further.

My card layers were a Whisper White Card Base A6 size.
Cherry Cobbler 143 mm x 100 mm
Shimmer Whisper White 138 mm x 95 mm.

I used some Old Olive vellum and a scrap of whisper white card stock for the sentiment.

Before stamping the images I sprayed with a mist of water using our fine Stampin' Spritzer and then stamped as usual. Since doing the FB Live I have discovered that it's easier to just spray your card stock first and it prevents your ink pad getting so wet too! Keep wiping any excess water off with a cloth or sponge. You do get a slightly different effect though.

I also made some matching bookmarks, one of which I copper embossed the middle just to see what it would look like.

This is basically what the card would look like if you just stamped the images without adding the water. A lovely card also, but quite a different effect.

I hope you like the cards as much as I do. Here's my FB Live to show you how I made them.

I will be gearing all of my FB Lives in May towards the retiring list, so if there's any stamp set that you would like me to use, I will try my best to accommodate you if I have the stamp set, so please just let me know, until next time.

                                        Happy Crafting
