Spring Fever

Who else is ready for Spring? I definitely am and I love seeing all the gorgeous Spring flowers that are popping their heads up through the ground. I love most flowers and seeing a field of tulips always makes my heart happy. Anyway, last night I made two very quick and simple cards, and they are definitely simple and aimed at the beginner stamper. I just used  a stamp set( Timeless Tulips from Stampin' Up!), card stock and paper( Speciality Designer Series Paper.)

To make this card you just need the usual A6 Whisper White card size base , but on the front flap you score it and 45 mm in from the right hand edge. Just burnish it and fold it back on itself. You can then line it underneath with a piece of coloured card stock, I used Lovely Lipstick which measured 148.5 mm x 60 mm. Stamp the script with Granny Apple Green ink which has been stamped off onto scrap. You can then stamp the tulips, leaves and stems with Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody and Calypso Coral. Finish off with Granny Apple Green for both of the sentiments.

This card was created on an A6 Granny Apple Green Card Base. Adhere a whisper white layer which measures 143mm x 100mm to the front of the card. Measure a piece of Speciality Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! at 100mm x 60mm. I used the 'Golden Honey' which can be earned for free during Sale-A-Bration.

I then stamped three different tulip heads in Stampin' Up! Real Red and stamped the stems and leaves in Granny Apple Green. I fussy cut them all out and arranged and adhered them to the card in a pleasing arrangement. I finished the card off with the sentiment in Real Red also.
