Flower Fever FB Live

Welcome to my blog, sorry it's late but here's the update from my FB Live on Tuesday.
I thoroughly enjoyed designing and making both of these projects. I really hope that I inspire you too!

To my knowledge I have never made a corner fold card before. I realised as I was making it that it could have so many uses and that there are so many Stampin' Up! stamp sets that would be very suitable for it. I decided to use my favourite set at the moment, Celebrate Sunflowers, you know how much I love it!! As I explained in my live, whenever I make a new card fold or a new box I always make a template on some white card for future use. I also find this very useful when I'm teaching others how to make the project.

Card Measurements: A6 Card Base. 14.8 cm x 21cm( folded at 10.5cm) Misty Moonlight.
Whisper White Layer 14.3 cm x 10 cm
DSP Layer 13.8 cm x 9.5 cm( Flowers For every Season DSP)
Whisper White for stamping on.

Measure and score as shown on the template above.

Next Project:

For my next project, I wanted a gift box that I can pop a Tropic product in if I ever need a quick gift for someone. This self closing box is ideal as there are numerous products that would fit.
As I mentioned on my live, there are lots of versions of this type of box on the internet but this taller size is more unusual.

Sticking with the Tropic vibe, I chose to use another favourite stamp set of mine and that's the 'Timeless Tropical' from Stampin' Up! I just needed to choose some Designer Series Paper that I thought would match with it and then I just stamped the beautiful Hibiscus image and water coloured it in.

The black lines are score lines and the red jagged lines are showing you where to cut.

Card stock measures  21 cm x 17 cm( Granny Apple Green)
Long Side Score at 2.5 cm and 17 cm
Short Side Score at 8 cm and 16 cm.

Look at the template to see where to cut at 4 cm, 8 cm and 12 cm. This creates the bottom of the box.

DSP measures 2 @ 14 cm x 7.5 cm ( front and back)( Playing with Patterns DSP).
Scrap of Whisper White for stamping on.

For instructions and clearer explanation, please watch my FB Live Replay.

I would love to see your creations if you make them, I'll say goodbye for now though.

                                          Happy Crafting
                                          Love Sarah. xx

    1. Hi Laura, thank you so much. I love the design because it's quite easy to create as fancy folds go, but it does look very effective. :-) x
