Still Celebrating with Love.

Hi there, another week of card classes has gone by and January has left us thankfully. It's not my most favourite of months and I'm sure you will agree. I'm now just longing for the Spring, to be able to safely get out on my bike and to see all of the beautiful flowers popping their heads up through the ground.

We're still continuing with the theme of love seeing as the only notable celebration on the calender in February is Valentine's Day. Yes I know us Brits don't celebrate this day hugely, and many people think that it has become too commercialised. I believe that you can make the day very special without spending a fortune, just by doing something a little different to what you might usually do. A little love note in a book maybe? Cooking the meal and doing the washing up together, unless of course you're eating out. Can you think of some small gestures that could go a long way in saying 'I love you'? I would love to hear some original ideas from you all to how you celebrate the special day.

Anyway, back to last week's classes. We used the ' Parisian Blossoms' Suite again, but not necessarily with Valentine's Day in mind, although the cards could certainly be used for that occasion.
They perfectly suit for birthdays, anniversaries and of course weddings. We also made a very unusual card, one that we have never made before in class. It's called a 'Tricorn' card and the Eiffel Tower die cut fits the bill perfectly for the shape of it. The original design I believe was designed by Sam of 'Mixed Up Crafts' and I will link her video tutorial for you.
One card used the 'Happy Birthday to You' stamp set that can be earned during the Sale-A-Bration period, with a qualifying spend of £45 from either current catalogue. It's a gorgeous stamp set.

As you can tell, I just can't stop playing and creating with this beautiful suite. I have some more projects coming up, but I promise I will start sharing some new projects with different suites from Stampin' Up!  very soon.

For now, I'll leave you with the video tutorial for the Tricorn Card from Sam. It's really not as difficult as it looks.
