Tropical Flavour

Good morning....my FB Live last night involved a taste of the tropics! Just as well because it was pelting down with rain whilst I was making my projects. I made a simple card and a matching treat pouch using the stamp set from Stampin' Up! called 'Timeless Tropics'. Instead of the usual method of stamping with our ink pads I used a different technique using our Stampin' Write marker pens. They have a brush end which you can apply to the stamp exactly where you want the colour to go. It's a great technique when you want to apply more than one colour to a stamp image. It's ideal if you have a bouquet of flowers and want to apply different colours to the flowers and it's also great for lettering where you might want a colour change. Have a go yourself and experiment, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results! I also showed you some card samples where you could easily step them up a little, with the last one only possible if you have a die cutting machine and the matching dies with the stamp set.

This really is a fun set and I think you'll agree that the cards are very bright and cheery. They are perfect to send to someone to brighten their day, or maybe to someone who is off to sunnier climes this year. You could also create your own postcards to take with you on holiday, and send back home. It would also be a fantastic set to own if you're a scrap booker (which I am when I get the time!) Just imagine all of those Summer holiday pics that you have on your phone or your computer just waiting to be printed off and displayed on a beautiful page layout.
