The Excitement of OnStage in Dortmund, Germany 2019.

Well what can I say.  OnStage Live is over!!
We have celebrated over three days with approximately 1300 other European Stampin' Up! demonstrators. To say it was amazing would be an understatement!

I have been to quite a few OnStage events in the UK, but I have never been to one of the bigger live events. This year it was in Dortmund, Germany and the build up to it was very exciting!!  There has been much fun and frolics between friends, plenty of stamping and creating and lots of freebies from Stampin' Up! When Stampin' Up! put on an event, they sure know how to excel.

The most exciting part of the event is the anticipation of receiving the new Spring/Summer catalogue 2020 and trust me when I say, you will not be disappointed!!

Look out for extra posts on my blog where I will bring you all the excitement that we experienced and show you all the goodies that we received. Plus, possibly a little sneak peek of new products that will be coming in the new year....watch this space.

One of the regular things that we do as demonstrators when we get together is to swap ideas, we do this by creating some swaps. These might be cards, bookmarks, boxes with goodies in etc. I decided to make laminated bookmarks this year, because as it's not a local event and we were flying, space and weight was more of an issue this year, and I didn't want anything getting crushed in my suitcase.

I made about 60 bookmarks and although they were simple to make, they still took some time in between my other work. I used various varieties of our current Designer Series Paper( DSP) from the main catalogue to make them and a few coordinating stamp sets. Basically, once the DSP has been cut to size and the stamped image applied you just lay them side by side into a laminate pocket and carefully run them through the laminating machine.

After this process you just cut them down with just a small margin of the lamination showing. I then just added a scrap of DSP to the top edge to finish them off. I decided not to add a ribbon to the top but of course this would finish them off beautifully if you decided to do that. To be honest, I was running short of time and I didn't have enough matching ribbon to complete them. If you received one as a swap, I hope you liked them? Thank you for swapping with me too!!

Also, we make team gifts for our colleagues in our own teams, both our direct teams and the wider team. In my direct team there were four of us, and a further seven in the wider team. I decided to make covered notebooks with an attached pen for everybody, and then for those in my direct team I made a special 12" x 12" scrapbook page to commemorate our time in Germany together. I've left a blank space for everyone to pop a team photo on when we all get home.

The notebooks yet again were made by laminating some of our beautiful Designer Series Paper and mounted on the coordinating coloured card stock and added to the notebooks. I attached a pen loop too and a pen.

I hope everyone liked their gifts too, and thank you everyone for mine!

Well, it's been an action packed week, and one that I will always remember! Stampin' Up! events are just amazing!! It's like one huge crafting event with lots of friends getting together to have fun! If this sounds like something that would interest you, why not come and join us for the next one. Sign up to be a demonstrator, and join the fun with us! It's just one of the many perks of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! We can't wait to see you!
