Christmas Rose minus the Roses!!

Well, November has arrived! I know some people hate to think about Christmas this early but if you're a card maker I bet you are in full swing making all of your Christmas cards?  Please let me know if you are. I've popped in today to show you another card that is made using the Christmas Rose Bundle set from Stampin' Up! Sales of this bundle are now also in full swing as people do not want to miss out buying this gorgeous suite. Have you purchased yours yet? It is a stunning suite, that will be used for many more Christmases to come.

Today, I wanted to create a card using just the foliage, and not the roses. I took inspiration from one of Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Designers, the talented Emma Goddard. I hope you like what I've done with it. I think this card has a definite Christmas feel to it, but yet again, because the leaves are not the classic holly or mistletoe that is associated with Christmas, you could easily create a different season using this design and just change the colours.

Here is my card for today....

The card was created by stamping all around the edges with just part of the large roses stamp, using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I continued by colouring in the various leaves etc with the appropriate stamps in the set. I used the Classic ink pads from Stampin' Up! The colours that I used were Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede. I stamped on Whisper White card stock and layered it onto a Cherry Cobbler base layer, which was then layered onto a Whisper White card base.
I completed it with a sentiment that was gold embossed onto Cherry Cobbler card stock, and then die cut with the fancy label die in the bundle. I also die cut two gold foil intricate fancy embellishments to frame the sentiment. This was raised on Stampin' dimensionals after a generous sponging of the gorgeous Gold Delicata Ink from Stampin' Up! around the edges. I finished it off with the beautiful, sparkly Gold Glitter enamel dots that are from the suite.

Also in the suite are some gorgeous double sided papers that match and co-ordinate perfectly with the stamps and dies in the suite. You can even cut out some of the images from the paper with the large floral image die. This will help you to make really stunning but quick cards if you're pushed for time!

Anyway, it's time to say goodbye for now, please pop in another day.

Crafty Hugs,
Love Sarah. x
