Tag Buffet Alternatives

I've finally decided to focus more On Christmas projects, despite thoroughly enjoying all of the Autumn offerings. For my FB Live this week, I decided to use the Tag Buffet Project kit from Stampin' Up! It's a fabulous kit that offers you the chance to make thirty great size Christmas gift tags. However as the tags are pretty large they also would make some lovely cards and other projects. This is what I wanted to show on my live, how to make some alternatives if you didn't just want to make gift tags.

These are the alternative projects that I made using just a few extra supplies and the coordinating stamp set called 'Tag Buffet'. It's a brilliant stand alone stamp set even if you didn't want to purchase the project kit, but why would you not buy the both for easy and quick projects? I made a wine bottle tag, a gift bag, a gift card holder/treat holder box and a gift tag as shown in the kit. I will make the gift bag in my next week's live. I also made a card using the stamp set. You will see that below.

The bottle tag: Shaded Spruce card stock measures 21 cm x 7 cm
Pool Party card stock measures 13.5 cm x 6.5 cm.
Shaded Spruce card stock measures 13 cm x 6 cm.
Score the longest length of Shaded Spruce at 7 cm on the longest edge. In the small section die cut a circular hole for the bottle. Decorate as shown in the pic or as in my FB Live.

Gift Card/Treat Holder: A Mini Paper Pumpkin Box.
Heart warming Hugs Designer Series Paper measures 13 cm x 8.5 cm. ( Top of Box)
Pear Pizzazz card stock 13.5 cm x 9 cm.
Pear Pizazz Card stock for insert measures 21 cm x 14 cm, scored at 76 mm, 102 mm and 127 mm( 3", 4" and 5").

Score and burnish into a mountain and valley fold to create a "W" shape. For directions how to make the insert, please watch my FB Live. It's pretty easy but much easier to watch visually than it is to describe how to make it.

Gift Tag: The tag was made as described with the kit instructions.

I decided to make a card using the matching 'Tag Buffet' stamp set using a Design Sketch. I don't often use these but they are very handy if you're lost for inspiration, need a quick card but don't know where to start or you need to push yourself from your comfort zone. You don't have to follow the sketch exactly but you can if you choose. Hopefully you can see how it is interpreted by my card below.

I used a Whisper White Base Card.
Pool Party Card Strip measures 14.8 cm x 4 cm.
DSP measures 10 cm x 6 cm.
Mossy Meadow was cut from the largest Stitched Square Die.
Whisper White cut from the next biggest die.

I really enjoyed creating with this project kit. I love the fact that a complete beginner would easily be able to make the gift tags no problem, but it has the versatility to expand your creativity if you are an casual or avid crafter. With the addition of the stamp set, you can make some lovely projects. I will show you some more samples next week. I will leave you with my FB Live for now.

That's all for now, so I'm going to say goodbye until next time.

                                          Happy Crafting
                                            Love Sarah. xx
