Nature's Beauty in the eye of the Card Holder.

Hi there, welcome to my blog. Last weekend I had the pleasure of having some spare time to craft just for myself. I wanted to use my recently purchased stamp set called 'Nature's Beauty' and I wanted to make sure that my cards could be used for male and female recipients. I really enjoyed designing and making this card folder and all of the cards in it. I hope you enjoy it too! I decided to use it as my FB Live project this week also, so you can watch how I made it if you would like to.

I have used the beautiful new Speciality Designer Series Papers from the new Mini Catalogue 2020 from Stampin' Up! called 'Gilded Autumn' To decorate the front I have used a combination of the 'Rooted in Nature' stamped images and the sweet deer from 'Nature's Beauty.

Here's the inside showing you how the ribbon holds the cards and envelopes in it.

Card Holder Instructions:
*  A4 piece of Cajun Craze card stock.
*  On the long side score at the half way point, 148.5 mm.
*  On the short side score at 4 cm.
*  Follow the template guidelines to show you where to cut.
*  For the flap's mitred corners you need to measure in from 1 cm, from both the middle score line and the outside edges.

Front Layers: Crumb Cake Card 16 x 13.8 cm
                                 Early Espresso Card 15.5 x 13.3 cm.
                              Gilded Autumn SDSP 15 x 12.8 cm

Flap Layers x 2. SDSP 14.3 x 3.5 cm( measure in 1 cm at the top for the mitre).

Decoration: *  SDSP 8 x 8 cm
                                              *  Cajun Craze cut with Stitched Shapes
dies.

All images were stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. The wood slice was stamped in Crumb Cake Classic ink from Stampin' Up! and edged in Early Espresso. I then stamped the deer in Early Espresso and used the finest of the water painters from the set of three. I then fussy cut the image out. The skeleton leaves were stamped in Mint Macaron, the triple leaf in Cajun Craze, the maple style leaf in Calypso Coral and the foliage stamp in Old Olive. They were all die cut out using the Nature's Roots dies from Stampin' Up!

The wood slice and the deer were both mounted on Stampin' dimensionals and the leaves were glued underneath. I die cut a maple leaf out of the gorgeous new copper brushed metallic card stock. I finished the decoration with some linen thread with an acorn trinket tied onto the bow and adhered with a glue dot. The final flourish was with the stunning gilded gems because I love them!

All Four Cards were designed to coordinate with each other but to be slightly different. As you can see, I kept two very similar, and altered the next two to be similar to each other.

For this design you need an A6 Card Base in Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock.
                                Cajun Craze layer 14.3 x 10 cm.
                                  Very Vanilla layer 13.8 x 9.5 cm.
                       SDSP strip 13.8 x 1.5 cm

I used the Snow stamp from 'Nature's Beauty' in both Cajun Craze and Old Olive inks to stamp the line of dots. I adhered the SDSP strip and then mounted the stamped wood slice on Stampin' dimensionals, The rabbit was coloured in Crumb Cake using the same method as before. You can finish the cards off with any sentiment that you choose.

These two cards use the gorgeous Autumn Gilded SDSP again and the layer measures 14.3 x 10 cm. The Very Vanilla background layer measures 4.5 cm and the card layer in either Cajun Craze or Early Espresso measures 5 cm. The branch and tree images were stamped in Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron respectively.

I used the Stitched Nested Labels from Stampin' Up! to stamp either the fox or the deer image. They were both coloured in with the same method before using Cajun Craze ink for the fox and Crumb cake for the deer. I sponged the edge with Early Espresso ink. I finished the cards with a final flourish of the stunning Gilded Gems.
