No Jar of Flowers

Another week, another FB Live. This week I wanted to demonstrate how the 'Jar of Love' stamp set from Stampin' Up! can be used without even using the jar. There's nothing wrong with using the jar but I felt that it could make the stamp set a little limited in it's use. I designed two different types of cards but I now can think of so many more ways that you could use the floral bouquets, and there are four in the set so there's way more potential!

Here's the first card that I made, it was very quick and simple to create.

I used a Petal Pink base card and an Early Espresso mat layer. On my Whisper White layer I stamped the floral bouquet all over with Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Up! ink.

I then attached a strip of  'In Good Taste' Designer Series Paper. This measured 50 mm x 100mm. I wrapped a piece of gorgeous Faux Suede Trim around it and also attached a bow.

I finished the card off by adding a Crumb Cake layer of card stock which was stamped in Early Espresso with both a sentiment from the 'Tasteful Touches' stamp set from Stampin' Up! and the floral image again.

My next card was stepped up a little as I used gold embossing powder to stamp the same Sunflowers image twice on the Whisper White card stock. I coloured them in with my water colour pencils and used a blender pen to smooth rough edges. This is a superb tool for colouring, as it can turn every pencil scribble into a a realistic water coloured effect. In the background, I used a stamp from the 'Tasteful Touches' stamp set in Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Up! ink.

I finished the card off with another band of Designer Series Paper, but this time from the New In colour stack of  papers. I chose the Cinnamon Cider wood grain effect, I just love it! I attached a sentiment from the stamp set called 'Lovely You' and I used the new multi punch called 'Lovely Labels Pick a Punch'. I attached a bow made from the Bumblebee Gingham ribbon.

Here's the FB Live if you want me to demonstrate how I made the cards.
