From the Herd Stampin Up!

Hi everybody. I have to admit that I have a rather heavy heart today, as I said goodbye to my 18 year old daughter, who has returned back home after a short visit here. She lives and works 150 miles away. Anyway, I don't want to dwell on that, so I thought that I would pop and say hi to you all, and show you a card that I made recently for a very good, family friend. It was his birthday yesterday, and I just wanted to make him a fun card. I must admit that the technique that I used is quite time intensive, but I absolutely loved every minute of it! I had never done it before, it's called paper piecing. I stamped the image initially and then I stamped the image onto individual, coloured card stock and cut each of the animal shapes out. The set that I used from Stampin Up! is called From the Herd, and it lends itself very well to this technique. The animals really pop out from the card but without being on foam pads etc. I'm over the moon with the results and will definitely be doing it again. I think it worked out rather well for a fun, male card. What do you think?
